I was really itching to explore today and Greg wanted brownies. So a deal was cut where Keti made brownies and as long as we came up with gas money Greg would drive to wherever we needed to go exploring. The problem was none of us had any money. Eventually we found our source of money, Keti's friend Chas offered to pay for the much needed gas money in exchange for us taking him with us. We agreed, and I decided on Metro because at least I know my way around in there. I figured it'd be better to go somewhere that I'm at least familiar with since we're giving a tour.

We head to the enterance and I noticed some things have been changed around since the last time we were there, which was only a couple weeks ago, the second entrance someone told me about is starting to look like a pretty good backup from now on. We Hop into the tunnel and head for the dining hall.

We get to the dining hall roof and figure out what buildings to check out. we decided on the CTG because it was right there. It was such a nice day It'd almost be like spending it outside. We head back down and into the dining hall. then into the hallway leading into the CTG.

The first hallway was totally refreshing plenty of light so I drop my flashlight in my bag. We roam down the hallway stopping to check out things of interst along the way. We found some cracked vinyls of clssical composers scattered over the floor we walk to the end checking out a few rooms on the way. I pulled a black label off of a desk that said metro state hospital and stuck it on a piece of tracing paper that was on a nearby desk then tucked it away in my wallet. We got towards the end then headed back to a stairwell to go up to the next floor.

The next floor we walked through a few rooms and found a window that looked out towards one of the doors. We head back to the courtyard and took a cigarette break and decided whether or not to continue though this building or head to another one. We decide to stay here and head back into the building going one floor higher.

The floor we're on now has some pretty bad water damage, big portions of the ceiling are missing. Actually missing is a bad word because they were there, just sitting mostly on the floor directly under them. We saw some rooms that looked like they were set up to be like cages and the first window so far that still had curtains. Everything was so wrecked up here we just headed up to the next floor just in case we fell though, along the way I found a baby doll hands and head cut off with a coat hanger sticking out of the neck. We roamed around some more and finally found a way up to the next floor. I hadn't been checking every stairwell but all of the ones before this one had been boreded over or locked from the other side.

On the top floor we found some old fashioned couches and chairs set up in one area. There were knocked over shelves covering the walking area of most of the hallways. Eventually though as I was peering out a crack in a window Keti had found a way up to the roof. so we headed up there.

The view from the roof was awesome. we sat up there for a little while and took in the landscape, snapping pictures every once in a while. It was great.

We headed down and back to the dining hall and checked out some of the rooms surrounding it. Then back into the tunnels as we were hitting the intersection I decided to head to the canteen, but as we got to top of the stairs Keti got a bad feeling so we turned around and headed home.

This was the best trip to Metro yet. And to top it off Chas was very well behaved, which made things a lot easier, it was alot of fun.
